Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor has a chance to play Thursday night against the Denver Broncos after tests on his injured ankle came back negative, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Taylor exited Sunday's loss to the Tennessee Titans in the fourth quarter due to the injury and didn't return. He revealed postgame that he "tweaked" his ankle but was "feeling good," according to Charlie Clifford of WISH-TV.

The 23-year-old has been a vital part of the Colts' offense since being selected in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Taylor led the league in rushing yards (1,811) and rushing touchdowns (18) last season.

Through four games in 2022, Taylor has tallied 328 yards, though his four yards per career would rank as a career low.

No Colts player other than Taylor has recorded more than 10 rushing attempts thus far, with quarterback Matt Ryan logging nine and Nyheim Hines notching eight.

The Colts have limped out of the gate to start the season, winning just one of their first four games.

The franchise will also be without star linebacker Shaquille Leonard on Thursday due to a concussion.
