McCaffrey active vs. Cardinals despite thigh injury
Carolina Panthers running back Christian McCaffrey is active against the Arizona Cardinals.
The Panthers listed McCaffrey as questionable Friday due to a thigh injury. McCaffrey missed the first two practices of the week and was limited Friday.
McCaffrey played the first three games of the season and is coming off back-to-back contests with 100-plus rushing yards. His 300 scrimmage yards lead the Panthers.
Injuries have been an issue for McCaffrey, who appeared in only 10 contests in 2020 and 2021 after leading the NFL in scrimmage yards and being named a first-time All-Pro in 2019.
Carolina's running game ranks 10th in the league with 4.7 yards per carry in 2022.
The Panthers' running back depth chart also features Chuba Hubbard and D'Onta Foreman.
