Buccaneers' Godwin ruled out vs. Saints; Smith unlikely to play
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers ruled out wide receiver Chris Godwin for Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, according to Greg Auman of The Athletic.
Left tackle Donovan Smith is listed as doubtful and is unlikely to play.
"Donovan will be close. It would be hard for him to make it, but we'll see," said head coach Todd Bowles, according to Auman. "Rest of the guys, we'll see on Sunday."
Godwin and Smith suffered hamstring and elbow injuries, respectively, in Week 1. It was the wideout's first game since suffering a torn ACL and MCL in Week 15 last year.
Both players were unable to practice during the week.
Russell Gage will likely see expanded snaps alongside Mike Evans and Julio Jones with Godwin out.
Meanwhile, Josh Wells is in line to fill in for Smith at left tackle.
