The Pittsburgh Steelers selected tight end Connor Heyward, the younger brother of defensive star Cameron Heyward, in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, No. 208 overall.

The younger Heyward comes to Pittsburgh by way of Michigan State, where he played five seasons and split time between tight end and fullback. He had 35 receptions for 326 yards and two touchdowns last year.

Pittsburgh now has four sets of brothers on its roster: Cameron and Connor Heyward, T.J. and Derek Watt, Terrell and Trey Edmunds, and Carlos and Khalil Davis.

The Steelers used four of their first five picks on offensive players, selecting quarterback Kenny Pickett (Round 1), wide receiver George Pickens (Round 2), wide receiver Calvin Austin (Round 4), and Heyward (Round 6).
