The Denver Broncos agreed to terms with former San Francisco 49ers defensive tackle D.J. Jones on a three-year, $30-million deal with $20 million guaranteed, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Jones spent his first five NFL seasons with the 49ers and is coming off a career year. He recorded a career-high 56 tackles and two sacks in 2021 while playing a full regular season for the first time.

The 27-year-old, who was the third-ranked defensive lineman on theScore's top 100 free agents of 2022, is one of the NFL's best against the run at his position.

Jones will presumably serve as Shelby Harris' replacement for the Broncos. Denver traded Harris to the Seattle Seahawks as part of the Russell Wilson deal.

The Broncos gave up nine touchdowns on the ground last season - the fewest in the league - but the team's 111.2 rushing yards allowed per game ranked only 15th.
