Cardinals re-sign Conner to 3-year contract worth reported $21M
The Arizona Cardinals have agreed to a three-year contract with running back James Conner, the team announced Monday.
The pact is worth $21 million, though it could reach $25.5 million, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The deal also includes $13.5 million in guaranteed money.
Conner should expect to see a higher workload next season after former Cardinals running back Chase Edmonds reportedly departed for the Miami Dolphins in free agency.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Conner shined in his first season with Arizona in 2021. He accumulated 18 total touchdowns while tallying 752 rushing yards and 375 receiving yards.
Before joining the Cardinals, Conner spent the first four seasons of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers. He's rushed for 3,054 yards while averaging 4.2 yards per carry across 65 career games.
