Josh McDaniels is adding some familiar faces to his coaching staff in Las Vegas.
The Raiders hired New England Patriots wide receivers coach Mick Lombardi to be their offensive coordinator, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Patriots offensive line coach Carmen Bricillo is also being brought in for the same job in Las Vegas, Schefter adds. Bricillo, who's been an assistant in New England since 2019, helped make the Pats' blocking unit one of the NFL's best in 2021.
Lombardi, 33, also joined New England in 2019. He served as an assistant quarterbacks coach in his first year before becoming the wide receivers coach in 2020. He's the son of former Cleveland Browns general manager Michael Lombardi.
McDaniels was named Raiders head coach this year after coordinating the Patriots' offense for 13 seasons over two different stints.
Under offensive coordinator Greg Olson, the Raiders ranked 18th in points and 11th in yards in 2021. Olson had been with the team since 2018.
