The Cincinnati Bengals are rewarding head coach Zac Taylor for leading them to Super Bowl LVI.
Cincinnati and Taylor will begin working on a contract extension following the conclusion of the Super Bowl, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Taylor has just one more year left on his contract and is currently the NFL's lowest-paid head coach, earning $3.75 million per year, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Taylor has led the Bengals to their first Super Bowl appearance in 33 years this season. Cincinnati went 6-25-1 in its first two campaigns under Taylor, but the team broke out in 2021 with the emergence of quarterback Joe Burrow and wideout Ja'Marr Chase. Taylor's squad also captured the franchise's first division title since 2015 after going 10-7.
The 38-year-old coach joined the Bengals in 2019 after previously serving as the Los Angeles Rams' quarterbacks coach. Taylor will take on his former side on Super Bowl Sunday.
