Denver Broncos quarterback Teddy Bridgewater suffered a lower-leg injury in the first quarter of Sunday's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

The Broncos ruled Bridgewater as questionable to return and replaced him with Drew Lock.

Bridgewater spent multiple drives on the sideline in the first half after a brief trip to the locker room, but he was back under center for Denver's first offensive possession of the third quarter, according to Daniel Popper of The Athletic.

Bridgewater completed 6 of 10 pass attempts for 59 yards before sustaining the injury. He also scored on an 11-yard run.

Lock struggled on his first drives, going 13-for-17 for just 14 yards and no touchdowns against one interception.

The Broncos went to the locker room with a 14-7 lead.
