Green Bay Packers linebacker Whitney Mercilus suffered a torn biceps in Sunday's 17-0 win over the Seattle Seahawks and will miss the remainder of the season, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The Packers will likely place Mercilus on season-ending injured reserve.
Mercilus, 31, previously spent 10 seasons with the Houston Texans. He recorded 345 tackles, 72 tackles for loss, and 57 sacks during his time in Houston.
The Packers signed Mercilus to a one-year contract just days after the Texans released him in October. The 2012 first-round pick tallied 17 tackles and four sacks in 2021.
Mercilus is the latest Packers defensive star to suffer an injury this season. He joins Za'Darius Smith and Jaire Alexander on the reserve list.
