The Cleveland Browns will be down a pair of running backs Sunday.

Nick Chubb and Demetric Felton won't play versus the New England Patriots, head coach Kevin Stefanski said, according to team reporter Andrew Gribble.

Both tailbacks were placed on the Browns' COVID-19 list Tuesday after testing positive. Fellow running back John Kelly also remains on the reserve group, while Kareem Hunt is still on injured reserve with a calf issue.

Chubb currently sits third in the NFL with 721 rushing yards. He's also recorded six touchdowns and six yards per carry. The two-time Pro Bowler rushed for 137 yards and two touchdowns in Cleveland's 41-16 win over the Bengals last week.

D'Ernest Johnson is in line to make his second start of the season. The 25-year-old enjoyed a breakout performance last month, rushing for 146 yards and a touchdown in a win over the Denver Broncos.

It's unclear who'll back up Johnson on Sunday. Cleveland does have Brian Hill and Dexter Williams on its practice squad.
