Josh Gordon signing with Chiefs
Former All-Pro wide receiver Josh Gordon plans to sign with the Kansas City Chiefs, his agents told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Gordon is expected to initially join the Chiefs' practice squad, a source told The Athletic's Nate Taylor. Kansas City will reportedly elevate him to the active roster once his conditioning and understanding of the playbook are sufficient.

The NFL recently reinstated Gordon, who is eligible to play in Week 4. The 30-year-old's last NFL appearance came in 2019 with the Seattle Seahawks; he was suspended for the entire 2020 campaign after violating the terms of a conditional reinstatement before the season.
The former Pro Bowler, who played in the Fan Controlled Football league's inaugural 2021 season, has been suspended six times since 2013.
Gordon took the NFL by storm after the Cleveland Browns selected him in the second round of the 2012 Supplemental Draft. He led the league with 1,646 receiving yards during his sophomore campaign while racking up 87 catches and nine touchdowns.
But suspensions have since stopped him from replicating that production. Gordon amassed 27 receptions for 426 yards and one touchdown in 2019, playing six games for the New England Patriots and five with the Seahawks.
The Baylor product could provide an immediate upgrade for the 1-2 Chiefs, who are deep at receiver but have been looking for a replacement for Sammy Watkins as the No. 2 wideout. Watkins departed Kansas City in the offseason, leaving Mecole Hardman, Byron Pringle, and Demarcus Robinson as the team's passing options behind All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill and tight end Travis Kelce.
