Minnesota Vikings linebacker Anthony Barr is nursing a knee injury that's sidelined him from practice since Aug. 5, ESPN's Courtney Cronin reports.
The chances of the four-time Pro Bowler playing in Week 1 against the Cincinnati Bengals are "50-50," sources told Cronin.
Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer was optimistic about Barr's recovery.
"He's doing really good. We've got a good plan for him to get him ready to go," Zimmer said, according to Cronin.
A torn pectoral kept Barr sidelined for all but two games in 2020.
The 29-year-old restructured his contract this offseason and is now scheduled to hit free agency in 2022.
