Report: At least 3 teams looking into Ertz trade

A potential Zach Ertz trade could ramp up shortly with the calendar turning to June.

At least three teams have looked into a deal for the Philadelphia Eagles tight end, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports.

Philadelphia has made it clear to inquiring clubs that it requires compensation for the 30-year-old, making his release unlikely, Fowler adds.

Ertz has reportedly been on the trading block since March. However, the Eagles can spread the veteran's dead money over the next two years rather than only one by waiting until June 1 to potentially make a deal.

The 2013 second-round pick has spent his entire career in Philadelphia. He's been a consistent pass-catcher over the middle for much of his Eagles tenure, though injuries and a decline in explosiveness led to career lows across the board last season.

A favorite to land Ertz via trade has yet to emerge.
