Raiders sign Casey Hayward to reported 1-year deal
Cornerback Casey Hayward signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, the team announced Tuesday.
Las Vegas will give Hayward a one-year deal worth up to $4 million, a source told NFL reporter Josina Anderson.
The Los Angeles Chargers cut Hayward earlier this offseason after five seasons. The 31-year-old will be reunited with Raiders defensive coordinator Gus Bradley, who coached him from 2017-2020 in L.A.
A two-time Pro Bowler, Hayward has recorded 23 career interceptions and 100 pass breakups.
The Raiders have spent much of the offseason revamping their secondary. They previously signed Rasul Douglas and Karl Joseph while also adding Trevon Moehrig through the draft.
Las Vegas finished the season with the 26th-ranked pass defense and allowed 29.9 points per game.
