Lawrence thanks Jags fans for wedding gifts with charity pledge
Trevor Lawrence is extending a helping hand to the Jacksonville community after Jaguars fans gifted the presumed top pick a couple of wedding presents.
A group of Jaguars supporters started a fundraiser for a $300 toaster as a wedding gift for Lawrence, who tied the knot last weekend. However, the group received thousands of dollars and pledged to donate the remainder of the money to a charity of Lawrence's choice.
The former Clemson passer took to Twitter on Sunday to thank those involved and announce he'll donate $20,000 to Jacksonville charities.
Thank you @Jaguars fans. We really appreciate the wedding gifts and donations for charities of our choice! In addition to the donations, Marissa and I will also be donating $20K to charities in Jacksonville. Thanks again, we hope to be a part of your community soon🙏🏻

Jaguars head coach Urban Meyer previously said drafting Lawrence at No. 1 overall is "the direction we're headed."
Lawrence led Clemson to two championship games and one national title. He threw for 10,098 yards and 90 touchdowns against 17 interceptions during his time with the Tigers.
