Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been diagnosed with a turf toe injury, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The Super Bowl MVP, who cleared the concussion protocol earlier this week, suffered the injury during the first half of last week's divisional-round contest against the Cleveland Browns.
A foot specialist will reportedly re-evaluate Mahomes after the campaign to determine if the passer needs offseason surgery.
Meanwhile, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire will be available to play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills despite battling ankle and hip injuries, a source told Rapoport.
The first-round rookie was listed as questionable ahead of the AFC title game, along with running back Le'Veon Bell and wide receiver Sammy Watkins.
Watkins is a game-time decision to face the Bills, while Bell isn't expected to play due to a knee injury, Rapoport adds.
