ESPN analyst and former NFL executive Louis Riddick is among the candidates for the Atlanta Falcons' vacant general manager position, sources told The Athletic's Jeff Schultz.

The 51-year-old is in his first season in the commentary booth for Monday Night Football. He has plenty of experience in front-office roles, serving as director of pro personnel for both the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Football Team.

Riddick spent seven seasons in the NFL as a defensive back, including the 1996 campaign with the Falcons.

The former pro scout has interviewed for other GM openings in past, according to Schultz.

Atlanta fired general manager Thomas Dimitroff and head coach Dan Quinn following an 0-5 start to the campaign. Longtime executive Rich McKay is leading the club's front office on an interim basis.

John Lynch and Mike Mayock also recently made the jump from the commentary booth to GM jobs.
