Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown won't play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, head coach Mike Vrabel announced, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Brown has been battling a knee bone bruise, costing him Thursday's practice after limiting him in Wednesday's session. The knee issue could reportedly affect Brown for more than just one game.

The 23-year-old hauled in five catches for 39 yards during the Titans' 16-14 victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 1.

The 2019 second-round pick took the NFL by storm as a rookie, leading Tennessee with 52 receptions, 1,051 receiving yards, and eight touchdowns.

In Brown's absence, the Titans expect Corey Davis and Adam Humphries to lead the way at the wideout position.

Additionally, Vrabel has not confirmed pass-rusher Vic Beasley (knee) and cornerback Malcolm Butler (quad) - who are listed as questionable on the team's latest injury report - for Sunday's game. Beasley was a full participant at practice in the last two days after being sidelined in Week 1.
