The Miami Dolphins have waived defensive end Taco Charlton, the team announced Thursday.

The Dolphins claimed Charlton off waivers last September after the Dallas Cowboys released the 2017 first-round pick. The Michigan product totaled five sacks and two forced fumbles through 10 games in Miami.

Charlton, 25, recorded only four sacks through 27 appearances during his two-season stint with the Cowboys.

Miami has added to its defensive front this offseason. The Dolphins signed edge rushers Shaq Lawson and Emmanuel Ogbah to multi-year deals in free agency and used a second-round pick on defensive lineman Raekwon Davis.
