Report: Clowney has Giants on free-agency wish list
The New York Giants are one of the teams on Jadeveon Clowney's wish list ahead of free agency, a source told SNY's Ralph Vacchiano.
New York figures to be in the market for a pass-rusher this offseason, but another source told Vacchiano that Clowney could be looking for more than $22 million per year, a price the Giants are reportedly unlikely to meet.
Clowney is coming off a three-sack campaign with the Seattle Seahawks, but he was still proficient in pressuring quarterbacks and defending the run. He'll be one of the most accomplished players on the market when free agency officially opens March 18.
The 27-year-old has been adamant over the past year that he wants to play for a winning team - it was the reason he nixed a trade to the Miami Dolphins before the 2019 season. The Giants are 12-36 dating back to 2017.
A three-time Pro Bowler with the Houston Texans, Clowney posted 18.5 sacks from 2017-18.
