Seattle Seahawks linebacker Mychal Kendricks suffered a torn ACL in Week 17, head coach Pete Carroll announced on Monday.

Kendricks underwent an MRI to confirm the injury, which will sideline him for the rest of this season.

He was knocked out of Seattle's regular-season finale, adding to the club's laundry list of injuries in recent weeks.

Kendricks started 14 games this year alongside Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright, posting 71 tackles, three sacks, and one interception.

The 29-year-old veteran will be a free agent at the end of this season, but he's scheduled to appear in court during February for sentencing related to his insider trading guilty plea.
