The Kansas City Chiefs fear that rookie safety Juan Thornhill won't be able to play in the playoffs after suffering a significant knee injury during Sunday's win over the Los Angeles Chargers, sources told Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
Thornhill will undergo an MRI on Monday, added Rapoport.
The second-round pick tweeted shortly after he left the game with the non-contact injury:

Thornhill has formed a dynamic partnership with Tyrann Mathieu, and his improved play down the stretch has helped the Chiefs' defense rebound from a slow start.
Entering Week 17, Thornhill had racked up 56 total tackles, three interceptions, and five passes defensed.
If the rookie is indeed out for the playoffs, Kansas City will likely use both Kendall Fuller and Armani Watts alongside Mathieu.
