Eli Manning will get the chance to bring his professional win-loss record back to .500, as he'll start for the New York Giants against the Miami Dolphins on Sunday, the team announced.

Meanwhile, rookie quarterback Daniel Jones was ruled out for the second consecutive week with a sprained ankle.

Manning made his first appearance since Week 2 in Monday night's 23-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. He staked the Giants to a 17-3 halftime lead but finished just 15-for-30 passing with 203 yards and two touchdowns.

The loss dropped Manning's career NFL record to 116-117.

Giants head coach Pat Shurmur also left the door open for Manning to potentially play out the string this season.
