Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield won't have to pay his $12,500 fine for criticizing officials in Week 5 after winning his appeal, a source told ESPN's Jake Trotter.

Mayfield received the fine when he lambasted the referees over multiple calls in the Browns' 32-28 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Oct. 13.

"I will probably get fined for saying this, but it was pretty bad today," Mayfield stated after the game, before listing examples of where he believed the officials erred.

In the appeal process, Mayfield's criticism was deemed not strong enough to warrant a financial penalty, according to the report.
