Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan missed practice Wednesday with an ankle injury, but he wasn't ruled out for Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks.
"He's one of the guys you never count out," head coach Dan Quinn told reporters, including Adam Jude of The Seattle Times. "... At this point, he definitely thinks there's an opportunity to give it a go."
Ryan exited Week 7 after hurting his right ankle versus the Los Angeles Rams and was spotted in a walking boot after the game. He was later diagnosed with a sprain.
The former league MVP hasn't missed a game since 2009, which was his second year in the NFL. Ryan has thrown for 2,170 yards with 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions across seven games in 2019.
