Ramsey ruled out vs. Panthers, will likely see back specialist
Jacksonville Jaguars star corner Jalen Ramsey will not play in Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers due to a back injury, head coach Doug Marrone announced Friday.
Marrone added that Ramsey is likely to visit a specialist for the ailment.
Ramsey played in the team's Week 3 win over the Tennessee Titans after asking for a trade in mid-September, but he missed last week's contest against the Denver Broncos.
The head coach said the 24-year-old worked hard to be ready for Sunday's game but ultimately wasn't healthy enough to play, according to Eugene Frenette of The Game 930.
Jaguars owner Shad Khan has expressed a desire to keep Ramsey in Jacksonville if possible, stating that "right now the best thing is to have him be part of the team."
The Jaguars have won two straight after dropping their opening two games.
