Report: Jaguars not interested in trading Ramsey
The Jacksonville Jaguars are not interested in trading star cornerback Jalen Ramsey despite the player's desire to be moved, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Ramsey would have been moved by now had the Jaguars wanted to trade him, Schefter adds. Team owner Shad Khan is reportedly at the forefront of the decision to keep the disgruntled 24-year-old.
The fifth overall pick of the 2016 NFL Draft requested a trade after last week's loss to the Houston Texans. Ramsey said he made the request after "some disrespectful things were said" about him during a conversation with members of the Jaguars' front office.
The former All-Pro and two-time Pro Bowler remains adamant about being traded, Schefter reports. The situation could lead to a showdown between team and player.
Ramsey played in Thursday's win over the Tennessee Titans, racking up nine tackles.
