Report: Elliott won't be charged for Las Vegas incident
Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott won't face criminal charges over his altercation with a security guard at a Las Vegas music festival, according to TMZ Sports.
Prosecutors reportedly decided not to move forward with the case after reviewing all of the available evidence.
Elliott was placed in handcuffs after pushing the guard - 19-year-old Kyle Johnson - into a metal gate May 18, but he wasn't arrested.
Johnson reportedly declined to press charges at the time of the incident. However, he decided to file a police report after the NFL announced in early July that it wouldn't punish Elliott for the altercation, according to TMZ Sports. The league said the star back didn't violate its personal conduct policy.
Elliott continues to hold out in order to force a new contract from the Cowboys, and it doesn't seem like a resolution is close.
The Cowboys have insisted they won't reset the market in extensions for Elliott, quarterback Dak Prescott, and receiver Amari Cooper.
Meanwhile, Elliott's representatives apparently told Dallas that he doesn't intend to play in 2019 without a new contract.
