The Detroit Lions announced the signing of free-agent wide receiver Danny Amendola on Monday.

Terms of the contract were not disclosed, but a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport it's a one-year deal worth $4.5 million in guaranteed money with incentives that could push Amendola's salary to $5.75 million.

The veteran wideout was released by the Miami Dolphins on Friday after one season. He caught 59 passes for 575 yards and a touchdown in 2018.

The 33-year-old spent just one season in Miami after playing the previous five with the New England Patriots. He'll reunite with former Patriots staffers Matt Patricia and Bob Quinn - now the Lions' head coach and general manager, respectively.
