A British woman who shares the same name as Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Dee Ford has become the target of angry NFL fans following Sunday's AFC Championship Game.

The Chiefs were leading 28-24 with a minute left to play when New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw an interception, seemingly securing the win for Kansas City. However, Ford was called for lining up in the neutral zone, thus negating the turnover.

Brady hit Rob Gronkowski for 25 yards on the next play to set up a Rex Burkhead touchdown, and the Patriots eventually went on to win in overtime.

Since then, the other Dee Ford's Twitter mentions have been flooded with messages from people confusing her with the Chiefs linebacker. She's handled the situation with a sense of humor.
