Starting-caliber quarterbacks are apparently few and far between in today's NFL.

Three years after retiring, Matt Hasselbeck told The Ringer's Kevin Clark he received a phone call from a playoff-contending team during the 2018 season asking if he was "in shape and available to sign."

The 43-year-old is currently working as an analyst for ESPN. He last played in the NFL in 2015 for the Indianapolis Colts.

Hasselbeck is the Seattle Seahawks' all-time leader in passing yards after 10 seasons with the team. He was a sixth-round pick of the Green Bay Packers in the 1998 draft.
