Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles will start in the wild-card round against the Chicago Bears, the team announced Monday, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo, after tests reportedly revealed he didn't suffer any broken ribs during Sunday's contest against the Washington Redskins, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport and Garafolo.

Foles only sustained bruises after exiting the Eagles' regular-season finale.

The backup quarterback is set to once again lead Philadelphia during the playoffs as Carson Wentz is reportedly likely to miss his second straight postseason, this time due to a back injury.

The Eagles sneaked their way into the playoffs in the last week of the regular season after Foles - February's Super Bowl MVP - led them to three straight wins to end the year.
