Houston Texans wide receiver Demaryius Thomas was carted to the locker room during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles and was quickly ruled out with an Achilles injury.

Thomas is believed to have suffered a torn Achilles, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

The veteran receiver crumpled to the ground on a non-contact play and was in obvious pain before being attended to by the team's medical staff.

It's a crushing loss for the Texans, who previously lost receiver Will Fuller for the season with a torn ACL.

Thomas was acquired in an October trade with the Denver Broncos, hoping to bolster the team's receiving corps following Fuller's injury.
