Rams activate Talib from IR

The Los Angeles Rams have activated cornerback Aqib Talib from injured reserve, the team announced Friday.

Talib was placed on IR with an ankle injury after Week 3 and was designated to return to football on Monday.

The five-time Pro Bowler recorded nine tackles and a forced fumble during the first three games of the year.

Acquired in a March trade with the Denver Broncos, Talib is an instrumental part of the team's defense and will be a welcomed upgrade to the secondary.

The Rams square off against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.
