Paul Allen - late owner of the Seattle Seahawks - had charitable intentions for his team's eventual sale.

Allen's plan was to have the proceeds from the sale of the Seahawks donated to his Paul G. Allen Foundation, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

All NFL owners must file a succession plan for a transaction like this to occur, and it's believed Allen's included this disclosure. A sale is not imminent, however, Rapoport adds.

Allen died on Oct. 15 from complications of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
