Marcus Peters is itching for a do-over after the New Orleans Saints handed his Los Angeles Rams their first loss of the season in Week 9.

The Saints' win was sealed when the cornerback was burned for a 72-yard touchdown by Michael Thomas. After the game, Payton said it was a matchup the team wasn't scared of attacking.

"They were going to travel Marcus to him, and that was fine by us," Payton said, according to Josh Katzenstein of the Times-Picayune. "We thought we really liked that matchup - a lot."

Peters didn't appreciate being dismissed so easily.

"Tell Sean Payton to keep talking that shit. We're going to see him soon," Peters said.

Peters was considered a shutdown corner during his three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, racking up 19 interceptions over that time.

However, the Pro Bowler has picked off just one pass this season and is ranked as Pro Football Focus' 115th cornerback among 120 qualifiers.

The Rams and Saints do not play against each other again this regular season, so any rematch this campaign would need to occur in the playoffs.
