Broncos' Freeman sidelined vs. Chiefs with injured ankle

Denver Broncos running back Royce Freeman, who's battling an ankle injury, is one of four Broncos players who have been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs, according to Nicki Jhabvala of The Athletic.

Right tackle Jared Veldheer, wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton, and safety Darian Stewart will also miss the contest because of various ailments.

Freeman and Phillip Lindsay have reignited Denver's ground attack this season, with the two rookies combining for 745 yards and six touchdowns rushing through seven games.
