Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfict will be suspended after his next major infraction, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.

Burfict was fined $112,000 for hits on Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Antonio Brown and running back James Conner and met with the league this week.

"I am told the league office has informed Burfict that the next similar action will result in a suspension," Rapoport said on NFL Gameday.

Burfict has been fined and suspended several times during his career for illegal hits. He also served a four-game suspension to begin the 2018 season for violating the NFL's performance-enhancing drug policy.
