Tom Brady will take on the Philadelphia Eagles.
The New England Patriots quarterback said on WEEI radio Tuesday that he "absolutely" plans to play in Thursday's preseason game, which happens to be a rematch with the team that defeated the Patriots in Super Bowl LII in February.
Brady didn't play in the preseason opener, as he was reportedly dealing with a sore back. His workload in practice has increased in recent days, according to ESPN's Mike Reiss.
Last year, he saw time in Weeks 2 and 3 of the preseason.
Brady turned 41 on Aug. 3 and is entering his 19th NFL season.
