Former NFL defensive tackle Roy Miller announced his retirement Saturday, while facing a six-game suspension for an undisclosed violation.

It was never officially revealed why Miller was suspended, but the defensive tackle was arrested in November on a domestic battery charge.

Miller, who last played for the Kansas City Chiefs before his release in November, issued a statement on Instagram confirming his retirement while accusing his estranged wife of ruining work opportunities for him.

Miller spent the first four seasons of his career with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2009-12), before joining the Jacksonville Jaguars (2013-16).
