The Atlanta Falcons signed safety Ron Parker, the club announced Monday.

The contract is for one year, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Parker was released by the Kansas City Chiefs earlier in the offseason. He spent five years in Kansas City, tallying 67 tackles and two interceptions over 15 games last season.

The 30-year-old will join an Atlanta secondary that currently features Ricardo Allen and Keanu Neal at the two starting safety spots.
