The Carolina Panthers will sign veteran running back C.J. Anderson, the team confirmed Monday.

Terms of the deal were not confirmed by the Panthers, but Anderson agreed to a one-year contract, Joe Person of the Charlotte Observer reports.

Anderson became one of the best running backs available on the market after being released by the Denver Broncos on April 16.

The 27-year-old spent the first five seasons of his career with the Broncos, earning Pro Bowl honors in 2014, and helping the team win Super Bowl 50 in 2015.

Anderson is coming off the most productive season of his career, rushing for 1,007 yards and three touchdowns, adding 28 receptions for 224 yards and a touchdown.
