James Harrison has officially called it a career, as the 39-year-old linebacker announced his retirement Monday morning after 15 seasons in the NFL.

The five-time Pro Bowler spent the majority of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, posting a franchise-record 80.5 sacks in the black and yellow.

Harrison spent the 2013 season with the Cincinnati Bengals before opting to retire, but decided to come back shortly afterward and rejoin the Steelers.

After three more seasons with Pittsburgh, the club cut him during the 2017 campaign, only to have him sign with the New England Patriots shortly thereafter. Harrison saw extended action during the Patriots' run to the Super Bowl, posting six tackles and a quarterback hit in three playoff games.
