The Miami Dolphins have released tight end Julius Thomas, the team announced.

Thomas' release will save the Dolphins $6.6 million in cap space, according to Spotrac.

Acquired from the Jaguars in February 2017, the veteran caught 41 passes for 388 yards and three touchdowns. He has not eclipsed 500 receiving yards since 2013.

Miami continues to shake up its roster, also parting ways with four-time first-team All-Pro Ndamukong Suh.
