Eagles fan who ran into pole in subway says he's OK
The Philadelphia Eagles fan who went viral after he was filmed crashing into a pole in the subway is back on his feet and in good spirits.
Desai, a 42-year-old Eagles season ticket holder, told The Associated Press he was en route to Sunday's NFC Championship Game after having a few drinks when the mishap occurred.
"Yeah, I hit the pole, but the passion is there," Desai said. "It reflects the passion of the entire city. We are good fans. Yeah, there are a couple of bad apples in the mix, in any city you're going to find that, but I think as a whole we have supported this team for years and years and years. I think this city is ready to bring home the hardware."

Desai admitted he was feeling a bit sore Monday, and may pay a visit to the doctor.
"I'm not throwing bottles or punching horses," Desai said. "It was just running into a pole."
