The Jacksonville Jaguars weren't expected to reach the AFC Championship Game after a 3-13 campaign a year ago.

Defensive end Calais Campbell, however, kept the faith. The 10-year vet joined the Jags in the offseason via free agency and helped the franchise achieve its stunning turnaround.

He's not satisfied yet, and Campbell said the Jaguars as a whole aren't happy with just being in the conference title game.

"That's silly to me," Campbell said to John Oehser of Jaguars.com.

"We have earned the right to be here. We have put a lot of time and effort in so this is an opportunity we feel like we deserve and we have prepared for. I can honestly say I expected to be here."

The Jaguars remain heavy underdogs to the New England Patriots, but Campbell isn't afraid of their championship pedigree.

"They say you have to beat the best to be the best so I can't wait to get out there and try," he said.
