The Tennessee Titans will make their first appearance in the playoffs since 2008.

The Titans secured a wild-card spot via Sunday's 15-10 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the final week of the season.

Tennessee's win also eliminated the Los Angeles Chargers from playoff contention.

The Titans needed only to win to get in. Their victory in the season finale snapped a three-game losing streak and may have helped secure the future employment of head coach Mike Mularkey. He was reportedly in danger of losing his job if Tennessee lost in Week 17.

The Chargers needed both a win and a Titans loss to reach the postseason. Los Angeles accomplished the first part by blowing out the Oakland Raiders 30-10, but was eliminated by virtue of the Titans' stronger conference record.
