Alfred Morris will be the man tasked with keeping the Dallas Cowboys' ground game churning while Ezekiel Elliott serves his six-game suspension.
Due to Elliott's standing as one of football's best players, some have questioned if Morris, along with Darren McFadden and Rod Smith, is up to the challenge.
"These questions, I chuckle at them, but at the same time it's very insulting because we're pros," Alfred Morris said, according to David Helman of the team's website. "Nothing changes at all for me, other than all these cameras in my face."
Morris has been used sparingly this season, racking up 105 yards on 13 carries. Meanwhile, McFadden has yet to play a snap and Smith has run the ball just 10 times.
However, both Morris and McFadden know what it's like to be a lead rusher. Morris had four straight 200-carry seasons with the Washington Redskins, while McFadden rushed for over 1,000 yards for Dallas in 2015.
"It's no pressure. I mean, I've done this before," Morris said. "I came out as a rookie and I've done this before. I've done it my first few years - over 1,000 yards. I was productive."
Morris and Co. will get their first chance to prove they can handle Elliott's workload Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.
