Kansas City Chiefs running back Spencer Ware injured his LCL and PCL during Friday's preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports.
Ware underwent an MRI but the test came back inconclusive, while the Chiefs have yet to provide a timeline on his recovery.
The running back immediately clutched his knee after being tackled during the first quarter of Friday's game, finishing with 15 yards on three carries. Ware was carted off and promptly ruled out of the game.
The Chiefs believed that Ware suffered a PCL injury but avoided ACL damage, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Friday.
If Ware misses significant time, expect Kareem Hunt to earn the starter's role while Charcandrick West vies for more carries.
